Help on opening the data browser
The data browser displays a tree view listing of subject data organised as subject/visit/eForm/question. Within an eForm, each row corresponds to a question. Across the top of the table are a number of information columns which can be customised. List of columns
The data browser only displays data that is saved to the database. There are a few instances in which data might change but not be saved. For example, if an eForm is opened by a data entry user, some derived values may get updated and appear with new values on the eForm, but unless this eForm is actually saved, these new values will not appear in the data browser. Note that derivations on an eForm are only updated when an eForm is opened and saved by a data entry user, or when the subject is revalidated using Batch Validation.
Each tree level can be expanded/collapsed by clicking the plus and minus boxes. To expand or collapse all the data, right click in the area above the report and select Full Expand or Full Collapse from the popup menu. See image
There are three fixed
groups above the report, Study/Site/Subject, Visit and eForm. To re-order
the data within each level, click the group. The small arrow within
the group indicates whether the data is sorted from the top or the
bottom. See

To remove the groups and view data in a classic tree view style, right
click in the area above the report and select Clear Grouping from
the popup menu. To reinstate the groups, right click and select Default
Grouping.
To choose which columns are displayed, right click in any column header and select Columns from the popup menu to display a list of all the columns in the report. A tick by a column name means that it is included. Click a column name to toggle between a tick and no tick. The report will be updated each time you make a change. See image
To widen or narrow a column, hover the mouse between column headings until it displays as a horizontal line with arrows at both ends and then drag to the required position. See image
To re-order the data alpha-numerically within an individual column, click the column heading. The small arrow within the heading indicates whether the data is sorted from the top or the bottom. See image
To view a subset of the data within an individual
column, click the filter icon below the column heading to display
a drop down list. See

Select the functions you wish to use and enter the relevant data in
the field. The column will be re-displayed. See
