Searching for frozen/locked data

To search for frozen/locked data, you need the 'View data' permission

You can view data with a specific combination of the frozen and locked statuses in the data browser:

  1. Select View > Search Panel or click the Open Search Panel icon to open the search panel. General help on using the search panel

  2. Leave Data selected in the drop down list at the top.

  3. Select your search criteria. Use the options in the Frozen/Locked section to look for frozen/locked data. Help on each field within the search panel

  4. Click the Execute search buttonto display the data in the Data Browser in the main window.

You can change the number of records displayed on a page and also the maximum number of records retrieved. Set this in Tools > Options > Environment.

 

The Data report can be printed and exported.

Viewing an audit trail of freeze/lock operations

To view an audit trail of freeze/lock operations, you need both the 'View data' and 'View lock/freeze history' permissions

You can use a separate section of the search panel to see a simple audit trail of freeze/lock operations:

  1. Select View > Search Panel or click the Open Search Panel icon to open the search panel. General help on using the search panel

  2. Select Freeze/Lock History from the Data drop down list.

  3. Select your search criteria. Help on each field within the search panel

  4. Click the Execute search buttonto display the data in the Freeze/Lock History Browser in the main window.
