Viewing coded questions

To view a list of questions that have been coded:

1. Select View > Search Panel or click the Open Search Panel icon to open the search panel. General help on using the search panel

   • When you open the search panel, it will appear as it was when the panel was last closed.

   • At any time you can clear all the search fields by clicking the Clear Search fields icon at the top of the panel.

   • To save a search for future use, click the Save Search icon at the top of the panel to save the current combination of search settings. Enter a name for the new search or click Replace Search and select a search to overwrite. Click Save. Searches are stored separately for each user. To open a previously stored search, click the arrow to the right of the Open Stored Search icon at the top of the panel and select a search from the drop down list.

2. Leave Data selected in the drop down list at the top.

3. Select your search criteria. Within the Clinical Coding section you can choose to:

• view thesaurus questions associated with all medical dictionaries, or from a particular dictionary only

• view thesaurus questions with a specific coding status

4. Click the Execute search buttonto display the data in the Data Browser in the main window. General help on using the data browser...

The decode and coding status are shown for each coded question in the data browser along with the associated thesaurus name, version and language.

Viewing the clinical code for a coded question

A coded thesaurus question is displayed as orange text in an orange-bordered text box (uncoded questions are displayed as black text in an orange-bordered box). From the eForm, right click the question status icon to the right of the thesaurus question and select Clinical Coding > View Code. The value is displayed in a window.

Viewing the audit trail for a coded question

Thesaurus questions have a special audit trail enabling you to view the coding history.

1. From the eForm, right click the question status icon to the right of the thesaurus question and select Clinical Coding > View Coding Audit Trail. The Question Properties pod is displayed with the Coding Audit Trail in a tab.

2. Click OK to close the audit trail.
