Adding items to the DE/DR home page

Select Tasks > Homepage Administration > Items. The Homepage Items window is displayed.
Click New to create a new item.
Select Text from the Item Type list.
Ignore anything in the Item Sub Type box.
Enter an item code to identify the text item.
Enter your text in the Message Text box. You can click the Message Text link to open a large text entry window.
If you want a small image to display to the left of and in line with the text, click the Image Icon link, browse to select the image and click Open.
Click Save.

From the Report Management module, select Tasks > Homepage Administration > Items. The Homepage Items window is displayed.
Click New to create a new item.
Select Image from the Item Type list.
Ignore anything in the Item Sub Type box.
Enter an item code to identify the image.
If you want a tooltip to be displayed when the data entry user hovers their mouse over the image, enter the required tooltip text into the Display Name box.
Leave the Target Name and Target Location boxes blank.
Click the Image Icon link, browse to select the image and click Open.
Click Save.

There are two types of reports:

To create a link to either type of report:

From the Report Management module, select Tasks > Homepage Administration > Items. The Homepage Items window is displayed.
Click New to create a new item.
Select Link from the Item Type list.
Select Report from the Item Sub Type list.
Enter an item code to identify the report link.
Enter the display name for the report link.
Enter the filename of the report in the Target Name box. Filenames for standard reports can be found in the list of reports in the help files.
Leave the Target Location blank. You don't need to specify a location as both standard and custom reports are by default located in the Reports folder within the MACRO 4.0 application folder.
If you want a small image to display to the left of and in line with the report link, click the Image Icon link, browse to select the image and click Open.
Click Save.

From the Report Management module, select Tasks > Homepage Administration > Items. The Homepage Items window is displayed.
Click New to create a new item.
Select Link from the Item Type list.
Select Attachment from the Item Sub Type list.
Enter an item code to identify the document link.
Enter the display name for the document link.
Enter the filename of the document in the Target Name box. As long as the document has been added to the study as in step 1, the Target Location will be filled in automatically.
If you want a small image to display to the left of and in line with the document link, click the Image Icon link, browse to select the image and click Open.
Click Save.

Each group of links will be displayed in a panel on the home page.

Select Tasks > Homepage Administration > Groups.
Click New.
Enter a group code to identify the group.
Enter a display name which will appear on the home page as the group heading.
If you check the Hide checkbox, the group will not appear on the home page. This means that you can temporarily hide groups and not have to recreate them when you need them again. Hidden groups are hidden from all users.
Click Save.

Select Tasks > Homepage Administration > Items Permission.
Click New.
Use the drop down lists to specify the combination of item, user role and group.
If you check the Hide checkbox, the item will not appear on the home page. This means that you can temporarily hide items and not have to recreate them when you need them again. Hidden items are hidden from all users.
If you wish to specify the order in which items appear in the group, enter a number in the Order box. Entering '1' will position the item on the top row, entering '2' will position the item on the second row etc.
Click Save.

To specify the logo that is displayed in the top left corner of the home page:

Open the 'Web.config' file located in the Reports folder within the MACRO 4.0 application folder.
Locate the <appSettings> section and edit the "HomepageLogo" value. Ensure that the location is relative to the Reports folder.
