Once enabled, the home page is displayed when you log in to the Data Entry module and whenever you click the Home icon in the toolbar. You can choose between using the standard MACRO home page or you can specify your own URL. If you choose the standard MACRO home page, you can go on to use the Report Management module to add text, pictures and links to standard/custom reports and study documents.
If you are setting up the home page for the first time, we recommend that you use the "Setting Up the MACRO Homepage" PDF guide. It contains comprehensive information on setting up home page reports and is available from the User Community area of the InferMed website.
You must use the DE/DR module to enable the home page. Once this is done, you can use the REP module to specify how the home page should look.
Log in to the Data Entry/Review module.
Select Tools > Options. The Options window is displayed at the Environment page.
Enter your required URL. To use the standard MACRO home page, enter http://localhost/reports/home.aspx?updateuser=1
A reference to 'localhost' will only work when running Data Entry on the MACRO server itself. To enable the home page from browsers on other machines, use the server name or IP address instead.
The addition of updateuser=1 is necessary to ensure that user details are refreshed and updated for each report that is accessed from the home page.
Check the Post User credentials... box if you will be adding links to reports on the standard home page. This ensures that the current user's details will be passed to the reports, so that each user will only see information for the studies and sites permitted by their role.
Click OK.
When first enabled, the standard MACRO home page is displayed but contains no information. The next step is to add text, pictures and links to reports and study documents.
