Creating a list of CTC schemes

CT criteria are particular to a CTC scheme and to a clinical test, regardless of the laboratory in which that test is performed. However, as they are usually defined in relation to the normal ranges for that test, they are indirectly linked to a particular laboratory. Only one CTC scheme may be used per study.

To create, edit or delete a CTC scheme, you need the 'Maintain CTC schemes' permission

Creating a CTC scheme

Select Parameters > Normal Ranges and CTC. The Normal Ranges and CTC window is displayed.
Select the CTC Schemes tab.
Click Create. Fields that are filled with yellow are mandatory and need to have valid data entered before the screen can be saved.
Enter a unique code and a description for the CTC scheme. This must begin with a letter and may have up to 15 alphanumeric characters. Spaces are not allowed but you can use the underscore character instead.
Click Save to save the new scheme, or Cancel to abort the creation.

Editing a CTC scheme

Select Parameters > Normal Ranges and CTC. The Normal Ranges and CTC window is displayed.
Select the CTC Schemes tab.
Select the scheme that you wish to edit and click Edit not Edit Criteria.
Make your changes and click Save to save them, or Cancel to abort.

Deleting a CTC scheme

Select Parameters > Normal Ranges and CTC. The Normal Ranges and CTC window is displayed.
Select the CTC Schemes tab.
Select the scheme that you wish to delete and click Delete.
Click Yes to confirm the deletion, or No to abort.
