Logging in and exiting

To log in to the Data Entry/Review module as a data entry user, you need the 'Access Data Entry' permission.

To log in to the Data Entry/Review module as a data reviewer, you need the 'Access Data Review' permission.

1. Open MACRO. The login screen is displayed.

2. Enter your user ID and your password. These details are maintained by your system administrator and are unique to you. The password is case sensitive. When you enter a password, the characters will appear as stars for security purposes.
   If you forget your password...

   1. If you forget your password, click the 'Forgotten my password' link on the login screen. The Forgotten Password window is displayed.
      If this link is greyed out, contact your system administrator.

   2. Enter your user name and email address. This must be the email address that has been registered in MACRO  by your system administrator and not any other.

   Depending on how your system has been set up you will be contacted by your system administrator and/or sent a new password by email.

3. Click Log In.

4. If you have access to more than one database and/or more than one user role, you will be presented with lists containing all your options.

5. Select the database and user role that you wish to work with and click Log In.

You are now logged into the module and the home page is displayed.

You can always see who is logged in by looking at the top right of the screen where the current database, role and ID of the current user is displayed.

Exiting the module

1. Select File > Log Out.

2. You will be logged out and the login screen will be displayed.

3. Do not exit the module by closing the browser window. This may lead to problems with locks being created.
