System Management module

System Management Logs

The System Management module includes two logs containing information about important events within a database:

System Log

This lists system activities, such as opening, closing, copying, creating, importing, exporting and distributing studies and subject data and manual deletion of study locks.

To access the System Log, you need the 'View system log' permission

1. Select View > System Log. The System Log window is displayed.

2. Specify the report settings. Explanation of settings

   Date	This allows you to search for activities occurring on,before or after a specified date.
   Task Id	This allows you to search for specific activities.
   Log Message	This allows you to search for activities containing certain words.
   User Name	This allows you to search for activities completed by a specific user.
   Location	This allows you to search for activities carried out at a particular location, either the local machine or a remote site.

    

3. Click Refresh All to view the report in the window below the selection area.

User Log

This lists user-related activities, such as logging in and out of modules and the changing of passwords.

To access the User Log, you need the 'View user log' permission

1. Select View > User Log. The User Log window is displayed.

2. Specify the report settings. Explanation of settings

   Date	This allows you to search for activities occurring on,before or after a specified date.
   Task Id	This allows you to search for specific activities.
   Log Message	This allows you to search for activities containing certain words.
   User Name	This allows you to search for activities completed by a specific user.
   Location	This allows you to search for activities carried out at a particular location.

    

3. Click Refresh All to view the report in the window below the selection area.
