Batch Data Loading module
The MACRO Batch Data Loading (BD) module makes it quicker and easier to import batches of single question responses into your database in either CSV or XML format. Typically these might be laboratory test results, or output from another electronic system.
The module allows you to enter individual study questions together with their responses against subjects, as an alternative to manual data entry via the Data Entry module. All checks are made and expressions evaluated in the same way as they would be during manual data entry.
Throughout these help files, an individual study question together with a response and the identity of the subject to which it belongs will be referred to as a Batch Response.
Note that in a remote site configuration, you may not run Batch Data Loading on the central server for subjects from remote sites. Because of the way the data transfer mechanism works, the changing of response data for remote subjects on the server is not supported, and this includes the use of Batch Data Loading. For remote site data, Batch Data Loading must be run at the site itself.
A typical Batch Data Loading session has three stages:
import the Batch Responses from a file into the Response Buffer.
edit the Batch Responses in the Response Buffer if necessary
upload the Batch Responses - that is, enter the individual Batch Responses against their intended subjects in your study.
The Batch Data Loading module also allows you to:
